The creative act is not performed by the artist alone; the spectator brings the work in contact with the external world by deciphering and interpreting its inner qualifications and thus adds his contribution to the creative act.
— Marcel Duchamp Session on the Creative Act, Convention of the American Federation of Arts, Houston, Texas, April 1957
My site merges the virtual world of art with real galleries and artists to enable everyone to participate in the creative act by becoming informed spectators and supporters of the arts. An arts industry is driven by commerce so we need to use technology to enable artists & patrons to interact. As our culture evolves we must be mindful of the legacy we will leave for the future.

My Point of View
Contemporary artists in Hawaii include both native and non-native artists. Hawaii's diversity has evolved because of its unique 2,000 year history and everyone who lives in Hawaii acknowledges that Hawaii is a very special place and all respect the native people and their culture.
These artists are addressing issues - such as identity, place, language and history - that have personal, cultural and universal relevance which makes their art very popular. I have been involved with Contemporary Art in Hawaii through community, institutional, and commercial exhibitions all designed to showcase Hawaii's emerging and established artists. Hawaii’s Contemporary Avant-garde includes the group of artists living in Hawaii who are pushing the boundaries of what is accepted as the status quo of modern art. Contemporary Artists of Hawaii are the tip of the spear (Avant-garde) in Hawaii and they have a lot to offer the world.See history Video.
My artistic style is abstract. Balance and time are recurring themes in my work. My sculpture was featured in Changing Hands II Art without Reservation, curated by the Museum of Arts & Design, New York. The exhibition included many contemporary Native American artists including Hawaiian Artists who are pushing the boundaries and conventions of visual traditions which lay the groundwork for an expanded critical history of Contemporary Art in America.
